Larry David is a genius. The combination of David/Seinfeld could have ruled Hollywood had they kept going after Seinfeld. “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is full-on Larry David, and is one of the bright underrated spots on cable television. (more…)
I was happy with the Lost season premiere. Yes, it was a setup episode, but a good one. I believe it helped set the stage for this season, and pushed the ‘flash-forward’ mythology in the direction. But, I did have a few issues with the episode, but more the show altogether. (more…)
I read the reviews, heard the complaints, and listened. Evan Almighty stunk. I stayed away from it. Well, in my opinion, they were wrong. Evan is a family/kids movie, and it was marketed that way. Just look at the trailers. It wasn’t “Bruce Almighty 2″. It is a new film. (more…)
In a world in which the book is almost always better than the movie, there is always an exception. Stardust is one of them. Though Neil Gaiman actually wrote the screenplay for the movie, the book is so much inferior.
The movie was my favorite movie of 2007, and in my top 10 of all time. If anything, it should have been ‘at least as enjoyable’ as the movie. I actually didn’t finish the book. It was so convoluted that I couldn’t stand to.
Do yourself a favor. Pick up the the movie.
Tonight was another stellar concert by Alanis. This time around, not being the headliner, the set seemed short. But it was still awesome. Two new songs from the forthcoming Flavors of Entanglement, “Underneath” and “Moratorium”. It was a great concert, as her concerts always are. (more…)
