I missed the wit and the wonderful dialogue Pixar is known for...and this, I felt, was the MOST recycled, cliche "oh-here-we-go-again-with-the-humans-messing-up-the-world-with-robots" predictable story that Pixar has ever produced. Yes, it was visually very pretty. But eye-candy and repetition doesn't cut it for me. Not when I could sit and watch "Finding Nemo" over and over again and STILL be blown away by the story originality, sentiment and beautiful beautiful visuals. I didn’t like it either. It was a good movie, but not a "Best Picture" nominee as the world seems to think. Entertainment is subjective, so I can understand why some my feel this way. But I have to say that I believe the majority of the praise of "Wall-E" is people just jumping on the bandwagon. Give me "Ratatouille" or "The Incredibles" over this any day.
