New Indy 4 Pictures

by Larry on 02 Jan 2008

indy4 New Indy 4 PicturesOver at Vanity Fair there is a comprehensive article and several awesome pictures of the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Between them, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg have made 13 of the 100 top-grossing movies of all time. Yet they struggled for more than a decade with the upcoming fourth installment of their billion-dollar Indiana Jones franchise, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Annie Leibovitz gets exclusive access to the set, while Lucas, Spielberg, and their star, Harrison Ford, tell Jim Windolf about the long standoff over the plot, why critics and fans will be upset, and how they’ve updated Indy.

I am liking this new Indy more and more the more I see. Years ago, a friend of mine and I were talking about what they could do for a 4th Indy movie, and we came up with having a son from Marion Ravenwood. It is obviously not a unique idea, but it is exciting to see them exploring it. I think that Speilberg and Lucas have the utmost respect for the Indiana Jones franchise, and I think they really want to do it right.

That said, they have allot of expectations to live up to. Also, Harrison Ford hasn’t had a hit in years.

This better be good.
