The Doctor’s former companion Billie Piper has grown up and moved on to “The Secret Diaries of a Call Girl”. As reported previously, Call Girl has been picked up by Showtime in the U.S.. Now a premiere date of June 16th has been set, and the Showtime website updated. Showtime describes the show as:

Taken from best-selling, real-life diaries, SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL is an eye-opening look into the world of a high-end call girl leading a double life. To her friends and family she is Hannah, a legal secretary clocking in regular hours and enjoying a “normal” life. To her clients, she is Belle, the answer to every man’s fantasies. The heroine struggles with personal and moral issues — with some rather naughty adventures along the way.

Through the magic of 21st century technology, I’ve already seen this series. I found it complex, and a very different kind of show. I think fans of HBO’s Tell Me You Love Me or FX’s Nip/Tuck will appreciate the style. Fans of Rose will be in for a surprise.
