‘Curb’ Season 7 Preview with Seinfeld Reunion

curb-seinfeld-wideLast night, HBO kicked off season 7 of the Larry David show “Curb Your Enthusiasm” with a preview of the upcoming season. A major component of the upcoming season is a not-a-reunion of Seinfeld. HBO describes it as:

Three of the four stars of ‘Seinfeld’ have made guest appearances on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ over the years. In Season 2 both Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus appeared as themselves when Larry was pitching a new TV show. And in Season 4’s finale, Jerry Seinfeld appears, wincing in the audience of ‘The Producers’ when Larry forgets his lines.

This season, Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards all appear as themselves. In real life, they’ve all denied any interest in reuniting. What changed their minds? Stay tuned…

The Seinfeld reunion is a ‘show within a show’. In Curb, Larry & Jerry will be making the reunion show. I don’t think any other show could pull this off. What a great way to make a reunion episode.

Curb is a very unique show that in my opinion is one of the greatest shows in television history. I was almost certain that season 6 was going to be the last, because I didn’t think even Larry could get out of the situation that he created. I’m so glad I was wrong.

Season 7 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” begins September 20th on HBO.
