In the late 70s and early 80s, Sid and Marty Krofft were known for their musical variety shows. Few know that the Krofft’s also ventured into the country genre with Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters. The show was an hour of music and comedy starring country-and-western singer Barbara Mandrell, assisted by her two sisters (Louise and Irlene), and the Krofft Puppets. Original hesitant to do the show, Barbara Mandrell’s career received a huge boost in popularity from it.
The Mandrells always had had separate careers and rarely work together. Now, for the first time in 32 years, they are reuniting for a great cause.
